See our portfolioOur specialty has always been designing realistic 3D renderings and interactive experiences through our various 3D modeling services.
Ever since GOCAM 3D inc. was founded, our mission to visualize 3D projects and manufactured products has remained constant for our clients.
We are passionate about digital arts, and our goal is to achieve visual excellence to propel your products and make you stand out.
Founded as a privately held Canadian-controlled corporation and self-funded without government aid or subsidies under the name GO-CAM Visualisation 3D Inc. in 2014 by Philippe Campagna-Vézina (then a 3D artist) and Ghobad Hendessi (then a sales representative), both former coworkers. At the time, Philippe was working as a 3D Artist for the Global 5000 and 6000 business aircraft division at Bombardier Aerospace, which was undergoing several waves of layoffs and major restructuring. During this tumultuous period, Philippe reached out to Ghobad, proposing they join forces to launch a 3D visualization company. That is how the DNA of Go-Cam Visualisation 3D Inc. was forged and came to life. The company was born out of a clear vision: to bring the rigor, thoroughness, and high standards of excellence from the aerospace industry into the commercial visualization world. Philippe and Ghobad then decided to combine their strengths to serve the real estate market with innovative and interactive 3D solutions.
The origins of the company name: initially, Philippe and Ghobad tried several name combinations, but all were already in use or the domain name was unavailable for the startup's website development. Their lawyer, Maurice Lasry, who was handling the incorporation, called to let them know he had found an original and catchy name: GOCAM—the "Go" coming from Ghobad's first name, and "Cam" from Philippe's last name, Campagna-Vézina. And thus, Go-Cam Visualisation 3D inc. came into being.
- GOCAM 3D inc. was initially founded under the name Go-Cam Visualisation 3D inc. in 2014 by two 3D technology enthusiasts, Philippe Campagna-Vézina and Ghobad Hendessi.
- The name GOCAM comes from combining GO from Ghobad Hendessi's first name and CAM from Philippe Campagna-Vézina's last name.
- Go-Cam Visualisation Inc.'s first workstation was an AMD platform featuring Bulldozer architecture, an FX-8150 eight-core processor, 64 GB of G.Skill Trident X DDR3-1600 MHz Quad-Channel RAM, and an Nvidia GTX 780 graphics card.
In the summer of 2015, GOCAM 3D was commissioned by a major real estate developer in Greater Montreal to visualize model units for a skyscraper under construction in downtown Montreal. At the conclusion of this mandate in 2015, the partnership between Philippe and Ghobad came to an end for professional reasons. Philippe pursued the adventure by buying back all of Ghobad's shares in the company to become the sole shareholder, renaming the business GOCAM 3D inc. Following this buyout, the company kept a low profile for a while, as Philippe, still employed full-time at Bombardier Aerospace as a 3D artist, lacked the time and energy to dedicate to his dream. In May 2015, he decided to leave his full-time position and job security to go all-in on his dream, fully committing to realizing his vision for the company he had founded. With a new vision, a new strategy, and boundless motivation, he stepped into entrepreneurship. 2015 was also the year GOCAM 3D inc. participated for the first time as an exhibitor at the ExpoHabitation 2015 trade show, securing its very first clients.
- Go-Cam Visualisation 3D inc. was acquired in 2015 by Philippe Campagna-Vézina as sole shareholder, who renamed the company GOCAM 3D inc. and conducted a complete overhaul of the business, its brand identity, mission, and corporate website.
- The company participated in its first trade show under the new corporate entity GOCAM 3D inc. as an exhibitor at ExpoHabitation 2015.
GOCAM 3D participated in several events, trade fairs, and exhibitions, including the Home Show as an exhibitor with its own custom-built booth. From that moment on, demand for GOCAM 3D inc.'s 3D visualization services exploded. Initially, the company was hired by private individuals to visualize their homes and cottages, leaning primarily toward a B2C client base alongside a few B2B clients—mostly architectural product manufacturers. Over time, GOCAM 3D moved away from B2C to focus exclusively on B2B commercial clients, who provided high demand for its services and steady volume. The company also participated in the Contech 2017 trade show, which was a great success.
- Redesign of the GOCAM logo in 2016, marking its second official version.
- Exhibiting company at ExpoHabitation, February 2016 edition.
- Exhibiting company at ExpoHabitation, October 2016 edition.
- Supplier company to a trade delegation, June 2016.
- Exhibiting company at the CONTECH show in November 2017.
- Exhibiting company at SIDIM - Design Show, in May 2017 for the first time.
- IT investments (2017), transitioning from AMD Bulldozer to AMD Ryzen 7 architecture.
- IT investments (2017), transitioning from AMD Ryzen to AMD Threadripper architecture.
To mark its 5th anniversary, the studio participated in SIDIM (a flagship design event in Montreal that no longer exists today) and met several industry professionals to offer them 3D visualization services, such as creating high-end realistic 3D renderings and showcasing furniture in 3D.
- Relocation of offices from Saint-Hubert to La Prairie (June 2017)
The company relocated its offices from Saint-Hubert to La Prairie. The Covid pandemic hit. In the midst of the health crisis, GOCAM 3D inc. ran at full speed. It was only toward the end of the pandemic that the economic slowdown took its toll: projects became scarce, several businesses closed down, and numerous projects were canceled or postponed indefinitely. Thanks to its low operating costs and lean team, GOCAM 3D inc. successfully navigated the pandemic period.
- GOCAM 3D completed its largest real estate development 3D project to date: two residential condominium towers.
- Due to the pandemic and the cancellation of multiple business events and activities, the company adopted a strong digital presence and stance.
- Relocation of GOCAM 3D inc.'s offices from La Prairie to Joliette (January 2021)
The company celebrated its 10th anniversary and redefined its corporate identity to realign with today's market and rapidly evolving needs. Taking advantage of this milestone, GOCAM 3D developed its brand-new website built from scratch on a blank slate.
- Development and launch of the new website (the third complete redesign of the platform).
With the meteoric rise of AI causing disruptions across various sectors, including lumber and furniture manufacturing, Philippe decided to undertake a major strategic repositioning of GOCAM 3D inc.'s offerings and commercial activities. To help our clients overcome new marketing and commercialization challenges, we published our special report on real estate 3D renderings in Quebec. To meet emerging pre-leasing needs, we launched real estate media kits and product media kits—complete sales and leasing packages combining visuals, videos, and interactivity for a successful market rollout.
- Launch of GOCAM 3D™'s very first blog, covering a wide range of topics aimed at real estate and manufacturing professionals.
2026 is a milestone year for the company. Technologies are evolving at a breakneck pace, transforming work methods. GOCAM 3D's entire production pipeline was reviewed, redesigned, and optimized to meet modern demands and timelines. Numerous businesses and clients have turned to our services during this paradigm shift brought on by the advent of AI, seeking the level of realism in 3D renderings and 3D animations that only GOCAM 3D achieves. We have been entrusted with major projects across Quebec, from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean to Sherbrooke. Significant investments have been made despite astronomical hardware costs; new workstations were assembled, boosting our internal production speed by 400%. Special internal projects are currently under development, with further details and announcements to come.
- Assembly of new workstations, operating 4 times faster than previous builds.
- Upgrade of our secure network infrastructure, moving from 1G to 10G.
With over 12 years of experience in the Quebec market, we have supported numerous real estate developers, furniture manufacturers, interior designers, and product designers across the province in achieving success for their marketing and urban planning projects.
Although our team is based in Quebec, our structure is fully optimized for remote collaboration. File exchanges, blueprints, and material spec sheets are handled 100% digitally through our secure tools. From a simple realistic 3D rendering or a 3D floor plan for apartment rentals to the deployment of an interactive 3D virtual tour (now the #1 tool for pre-leasing and pre-sales), we offer a turnkey process without requiring you to travel.
To guarantee razor-sharp visuals in 2K, 4K, or 8K resolutions, our studio relies on high-end workstations and next-generation lighting calculation algorithms like photorealistic 3D rendering. We closely follow technological advancements and regularly share our analysis and expert advice on our official blog.
Throughout our history, we have evolved from static renderings to meet the requirements of multi-platform campaigns. Today, our technical expertise allows us to structure every 3D animation efficiently so it seamlessly integrates into your print, web, or social media marketing strategies.
Our growth relies on a constant drive to centralize the visual needs of developers and manufacturing companies.
